06 Aug Live fully in the present moment
“The Power of the Present Moment by Eckhart Tolle, published in 1997, has been a worldwide success. Enjoying the present moment means enjoying a liberated life. Through meditative readings and spiritual exercises, we can see the world from a different angle to the one we’re used to. This will enable us to calm our thoughts and find the path to inner well-being. For Eckart Tolle, most of us suffer from compulsive thinking, a veritable mental noise that prevents us from finding inner peace. We’re all more or less incapable of stopping to think, and ultimately this creates fears and limiting beliefs. We are constantly engaged in an internal dialogue, torn between a past of suffering and a future of salvation. We are thus unable to situate ourselves in the present. To be free and no longer live in illusion, we must understand that only the present is important. Then, and only then, can we reach a higher level of consciousness. Another very important element in achieving inner well-being: letting go. letting go. It’s not resignation, it’s the starting point for any change. In this way, we accept our present state and recognize that we want to get out of it. When we decide to let go, we no longer act according to our fears and limiting beliefs, but rather according to our awareness in the present moment. Through simple mindfulness exercises (using all our senses, discovering new concepts, etc.), we’ll be able to feel stronger mentally and experience the beauty of things and the simple joy of just being alive.
