06 Aug Feeling compassion to feel better
Compassion (from the Latin “cum patior” = “I suffer with” and the Greek “sym patheia” = “sympathy”) is a quality that enables an individual to feel both the suffering of others and the desire to accompany them towards liberation. Sadly, it is becoming increasingly rare in our society, where even health and social care professionals no longer have the time to be compassionate. We put productivity before people. Time is money! Compassion is a form of love, however, and can be found in all religions and humanist philosophies. In personal development, it addresses several levels of consciousness. To truly feel compassion, it’s important to find a balance between the mind and the heart. First of all, you have to be tolerant, which means loving yourself and being willing to question yourself. Self-compassion is accepting one’s own mistakes and failures, before accepting others as they are. Becoming compassionate requires daily work and a a real letting go. It’s an energy that will circulate more and more between yourself and others, as your mind and above all your heart accept this quality. When we feel compassion for ourselves or others, we don’t just leave things as they are, we take action. A hypnotherapist can help you overcome your hang-ups and feel self-compassion through letting go. In just a few sessions, you’ll be able to rid yourself of the negative elements that parasitize your mind and heart and prevent you from surpassing yourself!
