06 Aug Do something good for yourself this spring: a few tips
Spring means renewal, the awakening of nature and the return of energy. It’s also an opportunity to do your body and mind a world of good. You could take advantage of this time to eliminate the excesses of winter, by choosing a healthier, more plant-based, lighter diet. Choose vegetable and legume-based dishes, soups and vegetable juices… Take advantage of vegetables that are naturally packed with vitamins and nutrients, such as asparagus, early strawberries, carrots, spinach, radishes… Make an appointment with your hairdresser or beautician. Change your hairstyle, hair color, make-up… Adapt your clothes to suit these new trends and favor light colors, flowers, prints… Remember that in this season, our Chinese friends put the emphasis on the liver and gall bladder. A little detox can be beneficial. Don’t hesitate to contact a naturopath to discover and enjoy all the benefits of nature. Spring is also good for the mind with a few little tricks: First of all, get out, get out, get out. Go for a walk in the sun, air out your house, accept and extend invitations, revive projects and resolutions put on hold during the winter. Let your creativity flow (link to blog post on creativity) Tidy up, even declutter, your home, sort out your papers. Throw away, donate or recycle the superfluous. Be positive first thing in the morning when you get up, thinking about your plans for the day, including breakfast with a loved one. Smile around you, compliment and thank your loved ones, friendly shopkeepers… Be kind and as soon as a negative idea comes to you, take the opposite view. Imagine yourself in a quiet place, full of light and softness. Trust yourself, let go of all your fearsdare, dare, dare… And if you still feel hesitant, make an appointment with a practitioner of humanistic hypnosis who will support you in your change process and help you get on the right track.
