STOP SMOKING

You are not a smoker. You have become one. One day, the first cigarette to try, out of curiosity, to be like the others, to be part of a group. To assert yourself by identifying yourself. At 15 years old, smoking is cool and it’s a way to assert yourself. We want to be free, independent and this is what the image of smoking in adolescence reflects. It is generally around 13 years old that we have our first experience with smoking, then the number of smokers increases at around 15 years of age. After the experimentation phase, there comes the addiction and regular consumption. A survey on a group of young people, both smokers and non-smokers, between the ages of 14 and 20 expressed their views on the subject.

On the smokers’ side:

  • It’s a habit
  • It calms down in case of stress
  • They like the taste of tobacco

On the non-smokers’ side

  • Smoking is unhealthy
  • The desire not to become addicted
  • Tobacco has an unpleasant smell
  • The cost of cigarettes
  • The need to assert oneself in a different way

Other smokers started their habit later, as adults, for other reasons. After a significant event, most of the time a change of life. Sometimes we start precisely to make up for lost time, to return to the teenage years we didn’t live.

When you make the decision to say no to cigarettes, it is a part of you that is pushing to free yourself. The reasons are pretty much the same as those given by non-smoking teenagers in the survey.

Most of the time, you come for a consultation to be accompanied on this path of rebirth. Willpower is not enough, the fear of not being able to do it alone is there, present, but you really want to have a better health, to free yourself from this addiction, to take up physical activity, to do good to yourself, to find energy again, to save money. By the way, did you do the math? The amount of money spent by a smoker at the rate of one pack per day equals the budget of 3650€ per year!

Quitting smoking in two sessions costs 250€.

Before your first consultation, download our form, complete it and bring it with you.

For addiction to Marijuana, therapeutic support over several sessions is necessary.
